As a step towards open and early release of Darwin Tree of Life data, we also made available in the summer of 2020 some raw data and early-pass assemblies for use by the community at the following GitHub site: https://github.com/darwintreeoflife/darwintreeoflife.data

Please note that the data may not be final and correct, and the assemblies are from the earliest stages of analysis, were not polished to remove assembly errors and were not scaffolded to produce chromosomal molecules. Some contain contaminant genomes, symbionts and assembly errors. The final assemblies will differ in sequence and contiguity; for most of these species these are now being released to ENA.
